Art in one form or another has always been a part of my life, but I never had enough time to pursue it wholeheartedly. Living in Europe for a number of years, awakened in me a passion to capture some of the wonderful impressions on paper.

Returning to Toronto in 2002 I started spritzing water on Arches 14o lb. paper and watched the colours bleed. In the meantime I have taken up residence in Rossmore, Prince Edward County (near Belleville), where I have a beautiful view of the Bay of Quinte. My new surrounding is inspiring, not only the natural setting, but also the inspiration I have gained from the community and fellow artists of the Belleville Art Association, The Quinte Arts Council and Prince Edward County Art Council.

I have come to realize that I don’t enjoy painting small and especially now that I have been experimenting with acrylic, the canvases seem to be getting bigger such as 36″ x 24″  ( 92cm x 61cm ) and I’d like to go bigger still.

In 2008 a number of artists along the Rednersville Road, myself included, got together to create the Rednersville Road Art Tour. It was an instant success and every year more artists want to participate. If you are interested to learn more about this event which is held annually on the Labour Day weekend, visit our website www.rednersvilleroadarttour.com.

My work has been  accepted in a number of juried shows and there are a number of venues around town such as the hospital, restaurants, medical offices and laywer’s offices where my paintings are displayed. I still have not found my niche, but at this time my preference is watercolour. Perhaps my one regret is that it has taken me this long to pursue my passion. There is so much to learn and I feel at times somewhat overwhelmed.
